Is the Future of the Office ‘Hybrid’?
January 2021
Ozone were invited to tender for the project from international real estate consultants, Hollis. It was a great accolade for us to win over some very stiff opposition. Ozone had previously carried out some common parts works at No.2 Forbury Place through Hollis. This was further recognition of the excellent work we had already carried out.
The project on the first floor of this prestigious building has just begun. We are particularly excited by this office fit-out because it is at the forefront of office design for a post-covid working place environment. The space available will be divided into separate working areas with the emphasis being on a place where workers can collaborate for brainstorming and creative thinking. The furniture is bespoke, with high-end fittings through-out. This is in keeping with the thinking that in order to entice workers back to the office, we need to create spaces where they want to come. The 9-5 Monday to Friday concept is now seen as mostly dated. Technology has proved that we can be just as productive at home but we still need to have the option to go to an office for certain functions that can’t be carried out at home as effectively.
As works progress, we will keep you updated on this innovative office fit-out which we expect to take eight weeks to complete.
